Planning your visit to the Luke Days Air Show?

This page is your go-to guide for prohibited items.

Due to the secure nature of the event’s location on Luke Air Force Base, certain restrictions apply.

Please note: A clear bag policy will be enforced for all guests.

Do NOT bring the following items. All individuals/bags are subject to search.

 

Prohibited items include:

  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives of any size to include pocketknives and multi-tools, box cutters, scissors, stun guns, nunchucks, billy clubs, martial arts weapons, large or heavy chain-linked jewelry or belts, mace or pepper spray. This includes replica, toy, or imitation weapons that resemble firearms

  • Lasers or laser pointers

  • Alcohol, illegal drugs, illicit narcotics, marijuana, and CBD products. These substances are federally prohibited

  • ​Large bags, including diaper bags, rucksacks, backpacks, duffle bags, large purses, totes, Camelbacks, hydration packs or any bag not conforming to the Clear Bag Policy: 

    • Approved bags include clear bags/backpacks up to 12 x 12 x 6 inches. Small clutches or purses (non-clear)  are allowed. Mesh bags are not allowed. Bags need to be to clear plastic, vinyl, PVC, or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag. Backpacks, diaper bags, and non-transparent bags are prohibited, though exceptions are made for medical bags.

  • Liquid Containers, except as follows: water bottles must be CLEAR soft plastic and empty when entering through checkpoints. No metal water bottles will be permitted. One factory-sealed bottle of water is permitted. Frozen water bottles will be permitted. Water refill stations will be available inside the event

  • ​Outside food, drinks (Unless medically required), or alcoholic beverages

  • ​Smoking materials of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, vape pens, e-cigarettes, and lighters. All smoking materials are prohibited at show entry points

  • ​Flammable items of any kind, including fireworks and ignition devices

  • ​Large portable sun protection, including tents, pop-ups, canopies, or similar structures

  • ​Walking sticks, except for medically required canes or walkers

  • ​Spray paint, paint, superglue, or silly string

  • Signs, Banners, and Flags of any kind

  • Horns, airhorns, whistles and megaphones

  • ​Wheeled recreational or personal transport devices, including golf carts, bicycles, scooters (electric or manual - Except for medically required), go-karts, skateboards, hoverboards, roller skates, rollerblades, or wheeled-heel shoes

  • ​Cooking equipment of any kind, including grills, tailgating gear, or BBQ equipment

  • ​Coolers, ice chests, or similar containers, unless medically required

  • ​Glass containers of any kind

  • ​Walkie-talkies, HAM radios, scanners, or similar communication devices

  • ​Balloons

  • ​Military uniforms worn by individuals who are not active duty, reserve, guard, or otherwise authorized

  • ​Drones, personal unmanned aircraft systems, or radio-controlled aircraft of any type. Luke Days operates under FAA Temporary Flight Restrictions and is a NO DRONE ZONE within five miles of Luke AFB

  • ​Animals or pets, except for service animals permitted in accordance with ADA requirements

  • ​Umbrellas in seating areas. Small hand umbrellas are permitted in pedestrian walking areas only. Umbrellas are not authorized in reserved, VIP, or grandstand seating areas, as they obstruct spectator views
